Additional Information About October 10 Hearing in USA v. Youssef, 09-cr-000617-CAS
An appearance in USA v. Youssef, 09-cr-00617-CAS, has been scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2012, in Courtroom 890 of the Edward R. Roybal Federal Building and Courthouse, which is located at 255 E. Temple Street in downtown Los Angeles.
Unless a request for a closed hearing has been submitted by a party and approved by the presiding judge, a limited number of seats will be available in Courtroom 890 to those who are interested in viewing the proceeding. Seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and there will be no special seating allotments or procedures for the media.
All cell phones, cameras, laptops, PDAs, and other devices capable of the taking or making of photographs or video or sound recordings or for broadcasting will be collected.
Overflow Seating:
For those unable to be seated in Courtroom 890, a limited number of seats will be available in Courtroom 840 to watch the proceedings via video conferencing. As with Courtroom 890, seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and there will be no special seating allotments or procedures for the media.

Seating Procedures:
Members of the general public and the media who are interested in viewing the hearing may proceed to the 8th floor of the Edward R. Roybal Federal Building and Courthouse no earlier than 12:15 p.m. A limited number of numbered passes to be seated in Courtroom 890 will be handed out to those arriving in the order of arrival. After Courtroom 890 is filled, a limited number of numbered passes to be seated in Courtroom 840 will be handed out to those arriving in the order of arrival.
Exiting and Re-entering Courtroom 890 and Courtroom 840:
Spectators in Courtroom 890 who leave the courtroom will not be allowed to re-enter Courtroom 890. Spectators who choose to leave Courtroom 890 can go to Courtroom 840, but only if seating is available there. If seating is no longer available in Courtroom 840, they will be asked to leave the 8th floor.
Spectators who are seated in Courtroom 840 will be allowed to exit and re-enter Courtroom 840. Accordingly, it may be preferable to be seated in Courtroom 840 if you plan on exiting and re-entering the courtroom.
