Judge Autumn Spaeth
Autumn Spaeth was appointed as a United States Magistrate Judge for the Central District of California in 2018. Prior to her appointment, Judge Spaeth was a partner at Smiley Wang-Ekvall, LLP, a boutique firm in Costa Mesa, California, where her practice concentrated on business litigation and insolvency matters, with a specialization in bankruptcy related litigation. Judge Spaeth started her career at McDermott, Will & Emery in Irvine where her practice included intellectual property litigation, and later became a partner at Weiland, Golden, Smiley, Wang Ekvall & Strok, LLP, in Costa Mesa. Judge Spaeth received her B.A. from University of California, Los Angeles, her M.A. from University of Southern California, and her J.D. from University of Southern California Law School. Judge Spaeth served as Notes Editor of the Southern California Law Review.
