Termination of the Patent Program, Effective March 30, 2024

The United States District Court for the Central District of California announces that the Court’s Patent Program will be terminated, effective March 30, 2024.  Judges participating in the Patent Program will continue to accept transfers of patent cases until March 30, 2024.  After March 30, 2024, however, patent cases will be assigned randomly without the option to transfer to the Patent Program.

The Court’s Patent Program began in 2011 as part of the national Patent Pilot Program established pursuant to Pub L. No. 111-349, 124 Stat. 3674, and became permanent in 2021 after the pilot program expired.
