Judge Rozella A. Oliver
Rozella A. Oliver was appointed as a United States Magistrate Judge in 2015. Prior to her appointment, she served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney and Chief of the General Crimes Section of the United States Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles and before that as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the United States Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C. She began her legal career as an Honors Program hire with the Tax Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, Washington, D.C., as a civil trial attorney practicing before the Court of Federal Claims, handling tax refund litigation. As a litigator, she took more than 50 civil and criminal cases to bench or jury trial.
Judge Oliver received her undergraduate degree from Harvard College with honors and her law degree from Stanford Law School with distinction. After graduation from law school, she was a law clerk for the Honorable Douglas P. Woodlock, U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
